We have six tried-and-tested general go-to equipment loadouts to cover every play style. Find the ones that fit how you want to play and contribute to our alliance, and focus on upgrading those components first.
Your everyday clothes. It helps you gather stuff faster, march a bit quicker, and finish research sooner. It also provides a small defensive safety net if someone pokes you.
What it boosts: research speed, gather speed, march speed, and debuffs the damage you take from attacks on your outpost.
Use when: you’re farming resources, starting new research and upgrades, are shielded or ghosting your outpost.
Why: more resources + faster research = faster growth and bigger contributions to the alliance bank.
Avoid when: you’re about to fight or are vulnerable to attack — swap to Combat or Kaiju Defence.
Your boxing gloves. You hit harder and bring more troops. Perfect for attacking players or bosses in swarm events. It also lets you train attack aircraft and bombers faster.
What it boosts: deployment combat bonus, bomber damage, march capacity, march speed, scout speed, aircraft production speed.
Use when: you’re going on offence in PvP, joining a PvP rally, capturing territory pushing boss damage in a swarm event, or to maximise damage for raids.
Why: more troops + more damage = stronger hits against enemies and swarm bosses.
Bonus: can help in troop events thanks to aircraft production speed boosts.
Avoid when: you’re being attacked — swap to Kaiju Defence.
Your shield and armour. It makes your outpost and armoured infantry tougher against attack and allows your bombers to hit back hard. It also helps you recover faster if you take a hit.
What it boosts: top-tier defensive buffs (improving armoured infantry armour and debuffing damage taken from attacks against your outpost), bomber damage, vehicle hospital speed.
Use when: you are being attacked, you’re a trap base, or you’re doing raids and might be targeted.
Why: better tanking + faster healing keeps you alive and ready to counter.
Must-use: if you’re intentionally baiting attacks.
Your running shoes. It gets you from A to B as fast as possible. Excellent for beating your opponents to tiles in certain events.
What it boosts: maximum march speed.
Use when: farming targets in swarm, rescue, and lair events where speed is more important than raw damage, or you need the fastest possible raid rallies.
Why: more marches per minute = more rewards over time.
Avoid when: you need more damage or a strong defence — swap to Combat or Kaiju Defence.
Your mission kit. It helps only in the Chaser campaign, so keep it just for that.
What it boosts: chaser-specific campaign stats.
Use when: you’re doing Chaser campaign missions.
Why: buffed chasers = significantly easier campaign mission completions.
Avoid when: you’re not doing Chaser campaign missions.
Your hunting gear. It helps only in the Monster campaign, so keep it just for that.
What it boosts: monster-specific campaign stats.
Use when: you’re doing Monster campaign missions.
Why: buffed monsters = significantly easier campaign mission completions.
Avoid when: you’re not doing Monster campaign missions.

Upgrade components are best earned through taking part in PvE raids, requesting them from alliance members, and completing campaign missions.
If you're not sure which set to prioritise first, go in the order they are listed here. You’ll have them all fully upgraded eventually.
